Phoebe is a unique talent in sound healing. Not only has she trained extensively and is certified with the Sound Healing Academy, Cornwall, but she is also a lifelong, classically trained musician and music producer. Her decades of formal music training and thousands of performances combine to create a truly immersive experience for all.

What is a sound bath?

You could say that it’s meditation for dummies. A way to switch off from the stresses of the outside world, go inward and experience deep rest and relaxation without needing to do anything. You just lie down, close your eyes and allow the sound of singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums and voice wash over you and allow you to tap into the Parasympathetic Nervous System, responsible for deep rest, and healing.

Do it at home

Of course, it’s way more powerful irl but maybe you don’t live near me. Or you want to try before you buy. This is for you.

  • Find a comfy place, turn off the lights (or put something over your eyes), snuggle up beneath a blanket if it’s cold, and listen to this on a good quality speaker or headphones.
  • NB: Don’t listen on a smartphone or cheap bluetooth speaker, you’ll miss all the super healing, low end frequencies.

How to prepare

  • BYO eye pillow or mask, pillow if you feel you need one – most venues provide yoga mats, bolsters and blankets, but call the venue directly (or read the confirmation email they send) to confirm
  • wear comfortable clothes – err on the side of warmth if it’s winter (your body temp will drop), inc socks. when your body goes into a deep rest state, you’ll get cold. Oodies are always welcome.
  • try to avoid caffeine for a couple of hours prior, and don’t come immediately after a large meal as you might be uncomfortable on your back for 60+ minutes
  • don’t be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • please be on time. Doors open >15min before start time, and we usually wait 5 minutes extra for any latecomers, but anything after that and we can’t let you in or risk disrupting the entire group (hot tip: be early – snag a spot in front of the gong – or your fav instruments)
  • come with an open mind and heart, and zero expectations. every sound bath experience is different.

note: be sure to check the notes of the venue you’ve booked for and what they provide, as not all of them will supply blanket, bolster, mat etc.
