Who is IKSRE

IKSRE (I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere) is the solo moniker of vocalist, violist, producer and certified sound alchemist (dip. Sound Healing Academy, Cornwall), Phoebe Dubar. She combines ethereal vocals with lush strings, bass-forward synths and effects-laden guitar with field recordings, to create a unique, ambient, neo-classical electronica sound, which sits at the intersection of the natural world and the human experience. She is located on Boonwurrung/Bunurong Country, the Mornington Peninsula – 1hr south of Naarm / Melbourne.

What is IKSRE

She has released seven solo albums to date: independently, with Constellation Tatsu (Oakland), Hush Hush Records (Seattle) and Lo Recordings (London), achieving widespread acclaim from tastemakers (inc Derrick Gee), blogs, Amazon and Spotify official playlists and radio (BBC Radio 6, KEXP, RTE, triple j, double j, RRR, PBS-FM). She has also released collaborative albums with international artists on Past Inside the Present (USA), Stereoscenic (USA) and Home Normal (UK). She has had notable performances at Dark MOFO, Tree People Los Angeles, An Evening with Drew Barrymore at Sydney ICC and Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Melbourne Recital Centre, Jazzlab, Peninsula Hot Springs and a swathe of smaller venues across VIC and NSW. She collaborated with bestselling author/activist, Sarah Wilson on “this very moment” and co-hosted a special, International Women’s Day edition of “Soak” on PBS 106.7FM with renowned pianist/composer/producer, Nat Bartsch. She established and co-runs the successful Warm Mids Afternoon seasonal event series with Ruby Lulham (clariloops)

Phoebe is also a certified sound healer and one of the most prominent facilitators in Melbourne, having hosted group sound baths across the state and beyond consistently since 2019. Her sound baths use a combination of Himalayan and Alchemy crystal singing bowls, gongs, hand pan, drum, chimes, Monochord and voice, including overtone singing. She also runs sound healing basics training workshops locally and abroad.

She featured in a dedicated sound healing segment on The House of Wellness (Channel 7) and as a guide for Endota Retreat. And in 2023, Phoebe released an 8 part Podcast, “What is Sound?”, featuring interviews with industry experts across the topics of sound healing, music performance, recording and the sounds of the natural world.
