IKSRE (I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere) – aka Naarm/Melbourne-based classically trained, multi instrumentalist, producer and sound healer, Phoebe Dubar. She combines field recordings from across her beloved Australian landscape with lush strings, swirling synths and vocals with ambient drone and binaural beats to create a unique sound which sits somewhere between the yoga studio and the after party. Her music has been added to playlists across the globe including official Spotify editorial playlists, featured in major publications such as The Wire, Dazed and countless tastemaking blogs, and has been heard on BBC-6, RTE Radio-1, triple j, double j, KEXP Seattle, Triple R and PBS-FM. She has released music on Past Inside the Present (Indianapolis), Hush Hush Records (Seattle), Lo Recordings (London), Ambientologist (Amsterdam), Stereoscenic (Cleveland, Ohio) and Polar Seas (Toronto).
“Her sound palette lies at the delicate intersection of the natural world in fissure with atmospheric electronics and instruments. Much like Philip Glass or Ryuichi Sakamoto, Dubar’s way with a subtle shift into an irregular rhythm, a harmonic modulation or change in articulation, tricks the listener into a trance. IKSRE is seriously slept on - it's time to wake up.” (The Wire Magazine)
“Somewhere between sound healing and environmental music, Nurture is a techno-naturalistic exploration of the relationships between people, places and times” (Dazed Magazine)
“Her signature recipe examines the dynamics of the human mind, soul and body through the deft use of verdant strings, undulating synths, and vocals, blended with ambient droning and binaural beats. In some instances it evokes the transcendence of a sound bath and in others a delightful comedown from a long and fun night out.” (Vehlinggo)
“...a blissfully soothing entry into the world of healing by sound, flawlessly arranged and recorded.” (Igloo Mag)
"Through immersive, calming soundscapes, she transmits prismatic visions into the world, creating welcoming spaces for dreaming... It’s all a beautiful place to get lost." (Foxy Digitalis)
A segment focussing on the healing power of sound and vibration, and how it can help a multitude of different ailments - physical, mental, emotional. Filmed for "The House of Wellness" (Channel 7) with Luke Hines, Phoebe performs a private sound healing session and answers questions about how this ancient modality is helping with our modern health issues.
Phoebe is a certified sound healer, with a diploma from the Sound Healing Academy (Cornwall, UK) and registered with the IICT, and she facilitates group and private Sound Baths using a combination of ancient and modern instruments - Alchemy crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, rainstick, handpan drum, Monolina (harp), gongs and voice. Participants enter a deep state of relaxation through this meditative experience. Melbourne/VIC studio dates listed on my linktree, or reach out for private session enquiries.
