IKSRE (I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere) – aka Naarm/Melbourne-based classically trained, multi instrumentalist, producer and sound healer, Phoebe Dubar. She combines field recordings from across her beloved Australian landscape with lush strings, swirling synths and vocals with ambient drone and binaural beats to create a unique sound which sits somewhere between the yoga studio and the after party. Her music has been added to playlists across the globe including official Spotify editorial playlists, and tastemakers Mahogany, Ambient and Maisonneuve Music, and has been heard on BBC-6, RTE Radio-1, triple j, double j, KEXP Seattle, Triple R and PBS-FM. She has released music on Hush Hush Records (Seattle), Lo Recordings (London), Ambientologist (Amsterdam) and Stereoscenic (Cleveland, Ohio).
"Her sound palette lies at the delicate intersection of the natural world in fissure with atmospheric electronics and instruments. Much like Philip Glass or Ryuichi Sakamoto, Dubar's way with a subtle shift into an irregular rhythm, a harmonic modulation or change in articulation, tricks the listener into a trance. IKSRE is seriously slept on - it's time to wake up" (The Wire Magazine - January 2021)
"Phoebe uses the power of sound to find healing and catharsis, and this effect carries on to the listener as well" (Petal Motel, 2021)
"ethereal healing sounds" (Stationary Travels, 2021)
A segment focussing on the healing power of sound and vibration, and how it can help a multitude of different ailments - physical, mental, emotional. Filmed for "The House of Wellness" (Channel 7) with Luke Hines, Phoebe performs a private sound healing session and answers questions about how this ancient modality is helping with our modern health issues.
Phoebe is a certified sound healer, with a diploma from the Sound Healing Academy (Cornwall, UK) and registered with the IICT, and she facilitates group and private Sound Baths using a combination of ancient and modern instruments - Alchemy crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, rainstick, handpan drum, Monolina (harp), gongs and voice. Participants enter a deep state of relaxation through this meditative experience. Melbourne/VIC studio dates listed on my linktree, or reach out for private session enquiries.
