IKSRE (I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere) – aka Naarm/Melbourne-based classically trained, multi instrumentalist, producer and sound healer, Phoebe Dubar. She combines field recordings from across her beloved Australian landscape with lush strings, swirling synths and vocals with ambient drone and binaural beats to create a unique sound which sits somewhere between the yoga studio and the after party. Her music has been added to playlists across the globe including tastemakers Mahogany, Ambient and Maisonneuve Music, and has been heard on triple j, double j, KEXP Seattle, Triple R and PBS-FM.
"Her sound palette lies at the delicate intersection of the natural world in fissure with atmospheric electronics and instruments. Much like Philip Glass or Ryuichi Sakamoto, Dubar's way with a subtle shift into an irregular rhythm, a harmonic modulation or change in articulation, tricks the listener into a trance. IKSRE is seriously slept on - it's time to wake up" (The Wire Magazine - January 2021)
The stunning film clip for "As Good as it Gets", the first single from her forthcoming album, III, directed by Roman Anastasios. The album drops on 15 October via Hush Hush Records (Seattle).
Phoebe is a sound healer, qualified with the Sound Healing Academy (Cornwall, UK) and registered with the IICT, and she facilitates group and private Sound Baths using a combination of ancient and modern instruments - crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, rainstick, handpan drum, Monolina (harp), gongs and voice. Participants enter a deep state of relaxation through this meditative experience. Melbourne/VIC studio dates listed on my linktree, or reach out for private session enquiries.
In addition to Phoebe's regular uploads to Instagram, and her ever-expanding catalogue on YouTube (links at the bottom of the page), you can also find her online at Endota Retreat.
She recently filmed three stunningly produced sound baths to the accompanying calls of native birds and frogs, for Endota Spa's online wellbeing platform, "Endota Retreat".
